Brighton Government

The business of the Village of Brighton is conducted by a Mayoral form of government. The Village Board is assisted in its' work by standing committees, who make recommendations to the board for action and implementation. Village Hall is located at 206 South Main St. Brighton, IL 62012. 

Mayor

Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Board of Trustees

Members of the Village Board of Trustees are elected to their seats for a term of four years. The current Trustees are:

Treasurer

The Village of Brighton Treasurer is an appointed position, as determined by the Mayor, with approval by the Village Board of Trustees. The current Treasurer is Ashley Lievers. She can be contacted at treasurer@brightonill.com 206 South Main St. Brighton, IL 62012.

Village Committees

The Village Committees are made up of representatives from the Village Board of Trustees and Community Members. Their purpose is to review policies, practices, ordinances, problems, and develop recommendations to present to the Mayor and Village Board of Trustees for approval and action. They work diligently to improve our community. All Village residents are encouraged to attend these committee meetings. Meeting dates can be found on the calendar link. Our current Village Committees appointed by the Mayor are:

Economic Committee- Chairman John Bramley, Co-Chairman Bradley Arnold, Members Matt Kasten, Buster Clark, Glenn Pruett, Jamie Harrop, Mike Kuhnline, Wreatha Hanold, Gina Cox, and Leanne Muenstermann.  

Park Committee- Chairman John Bramley, Co-Chairman Bradley Arnold, Members  Christy Jones, Brenda Bramley, Beth Bramley, Betty Roberts, Bobby Groves, Gary Werts, Carolyn Kasten, Jeff Jordan and Matt Kasten.

Clerk Committee- Chairman Marcella Wilfong, Co-Chairman Don Little, Members John Collins, Sheila Wilkie, Tamara Jenkins, and Matt Kasten.

Planning Committee-   Chairman Don Little, Co-Chairman Jim Winslade, Mike Kuhnline, Bob Weaver, John Mueller and Matt Kasten.

Public Safety Committee- Chairman Aaron Mead, Co-Chairman Marcella Wilfong, Matthew Kasten, Edward Jacoby, Jeff Jordan, Rodney Bollini, Steve Bozarth, Frank Bock, Lisa Johnson.

Zoning Committee- Chairman Doug Feldmann, Co-Chairman Jared Childress, Members Bill Huebener, John Luca, Andy Hoth, Barry Stanley, Bob Saunders, Bobby Groves and Matt Kasten.

Public Works Committee- Chairman Jim Winslade, Co-Chairman Aaron Mead, Members Thomas Graham, Kaleb Kahl, Ken Watson, Bobby Groves, John Harper, Matt Kasten and John Moore.
